Mark specialises in translating national and regional policy into positive environmental outcomes 'on the ground'. He combines high‑level policy design and implementation experience with practical stakeholder engagement across central and regional government, iwi and farming communities to deliver impactful solutions. Mark has led major national and regional programmes, including scalable farm‑plan delivery and collaborative catchment initiatives that align regulatory goals with knowledge of rural communities and their core values/drivers. He advises on policy implementation, stakeholder engagement and programme governance to achieve measurable environmental improvement.

 

Mark keeps himself busy outside of work by spending time on his family farm, growing produce and trapping pests around his lifestyle block. Mark has a keen interest in the outdoors and has recently taken up photography, where he is particularly passionate about capturing his local environment.
