Nichola has significant experience in strategy and policy development. After graduating from Auckland University with a Bachelor of Laws and an Arts degree majoring in Geography and Sociology, she spent a number of years working for Ken Tremaine Consulting on a variety of projects, particularly in the growth management and spatial planning arena.

Nichola has worked for a number of years on SmartGrowth – the western Bay of Plenty sub-region’s growth management project, and Future Proof – Hamilton, Waipa, Waikato and Matamata-Piako’s growth partnership. She has also been involved in other significant strategic projects that span spatial planning, transport, community well-being and housing.

Nichola has a strong interest in integrated planning and the delivery of strategy through various implementation tools.

Outside of work, Nichola enjoys being with her family, travelling, swimming and reading books.
